Modern Mother's Day began as follows: in 1907, Anna Jarvis, a US resident from West Virginia, proposed introducing a holiday in honor of our mothers. Her own mother, unfortunately, left her early, she died ... Anna Jervis spared no effort to establish such a memorable date in memory of her mother. She wrote about Mother's Day to various government agencies, and her request was heard. In 1910, Mother's Day officially appeared in the world. At first, it was celebrated only in the United States, but later an initiative group created the International Mother's Day Association to spread the word about this important holiday around the world.

In Russia, Mother's Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of November. In different countries, it falls on different dates, but its essence is the same - to remember the woman who gave life, raised, gave her love, strength and patience to a child.
