Crochet with beads: a master class for beginners. The basics of crocheting with beads - how to learn how to create masterpieces from small things Flat crochet beaded bracelets

Have you ever embroidered a newly knitted item with beads and beads? That's right, it turns out very beautifully! But has it ever occurred to you that beads and knitting can be combined into one kind of needlework: knitting with beads and beads? Meanwhile, such a technique exists! What's the point? You are connecting crochet or knitting with beading. Understood nothing? Let's take a closer look at knitting with beads for beginners!

If you are already good at knitting or crocheting, it will not be difficult for you to master the technique of knitting with beads. All you need to do is consider a few knitting techniques that are based on the knitting techniques you already know. Nothing complicated - just a little skill!

In order to master different methods of knitting with beads, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • hook or knitting needles;
  • beading needle;
  • schemes or a master class, if you decide to knit some useful little thing for training.

It is important to remember that the sizes of crochet and knitting needles, threads and beads must be matched with each other. The beads should be large enough to fit the knitting thread, but at the same time, they should not dangle on the thread like a hoop. At the same time, it must be borne in mind that for thin threads you will need a thin hook and thin knitting needles.

What thread for knitting with beads work best? These are Iris, YarnArt Jeans, Snowflake, etc.

Now let's look at several ways to crochet and knit with beads.

Russian way

The Russian way of crocheting with beads resembles knitting stockings. You knit in a circle and in a spiral, without a lifting loop, and as if from the inside. So how do you get started? Knitting with beads in the Russian way is perhaps the simplest:

  1. knit the first row with single crochets;
  2. now we begin to introduce beads into knitting: for this, the threads must be divided into segments about 1.5 meters long; at the same time, the starting point for knitting, which you have already begun, will be the last column - measure from it;
  3. type the required number of beads on a thread;
  4. now we will continue to knit: now you have one loop on your hook; push the bead to it, knit a loop for a single crochet and then knit a column to the end;
  5. look, the bead has sat down, as it were, between the posts;
  6. if you knit several rows, you will notice that the beads are displaced, and you get a mosaic canvas, "bricks"; a very convenient way to knit with chopped beads.

English way

The English method of knitting with beads differs from the Russian one in that it has a lifting loop. Therefore (oh, happiness!) For this method, patterns for knitting patterns with knitting needles, as well as for cross stitching, are perfect. We start English knitting with beads in the same way:

  1. tie a chain of air loops;
  2. tie it with single crochet;
  3. close the row of posts with a blind loop;
  4. cut the threads into 1.5 meter segments;
  5. move the first bead to the hook, knit a lifting loop;
  6. knit the first single crochet loop, slide the bead to the hook, and then knit the whole column.

Did you notice the difference? In the Russian method, the beads are located between the columns, and in the English method, the bead lies at the base of the column. As a result, the beads go not only in strict rows, but also in no less strict columns.

Russian and English methods are the perfect crochet bead crochet for beginners. The next two methods are a little more complicated.

Turkish way

Turkish knitting with beads and beads consists in knitting all kinds of bundles. Of course, small elegant flagella can be knitted using the Russian and English methods we have already studied - for example, if you need handles for your purse. Turkish knitting is a little different. It refers to the volumetric knitting of beads, perfect for creating fashionable jewelry - bracelets, necklaces.

The difficulty of this method lies in the exact calculation. You need to calculate everything: the length of the thread, and the ratio of the sizes of beads and beads. It may seem daunting at first, but after a lesson or two you will get the point. So, let's try knitting with beads for beginners with a very simple example, from rice-shaped beads and simple beads:

  1. pick up beads and long beads; combine beads and beads in such a way that the short, low bead is the same length as the rice bead;
  2. string beads and beads on a long thread, alternating beads with beaded threads;
  3. knit one loop at the end of the thread;
  4. over the first rapport, grab the loop, knit it into the loop of the base;
  5. move the second rapport to the hook, knit it too;
  6. move the third rapport to the hook, knit it;
  7. now we have three bead loops; knit a pair of air loops over the entire structure;
  8. insert the hook into one of the beaded loops, exactly between the beads and the beads; capture the fourth rapport;
  9. now pass the hook into another beaded loop of the base, pick up the fifth rapport and knit the loop;
  10. finally, in the same way, pass the crochet into the third beaded loop of the base, and, picking up the sixth rapport, knit it too;
  11. what happened? The first three loops formed the beginning of the rope, and the next three loops, opening with a flower, formed the next three loops of the base.

At first glance, knitting with beads for beginners in the Turkish way seems difficult. But if you understand the principle (albeit not the first time), we will definitely succeed!

Tunisian way

Tunisian knitting with beads is based on the Tunisian crochet technique. With this method, not one or two loops are on the hook, but a whole row of loops at once. This method, therefore, resembles knitting and crocheting and knitting. If you know the technique of Tunisian knitting, you will quickly learn how to knit a straight fabric with beads. First, let's practice on a small drawing (you can take any simple cross-stitch pattern):

  1. tie a chain of air loops; there are as many loops in it as there are cells in one row of your scheme;
  2. we knit one loop from each loop of the base;
  3. we knit one back row;
  4. we knit another row of loops;
  5. now we collect beads on a knitting thread, consistent with the top row of the pattern; dialing order - from left to right;
  6. we knit the reverse row, each time moving the bead closer to the hook;
  7. remember that the fabric in Tunisian knitting is turned to you on the wrong side - the beads should be located on the face;
  8. knit all rows with beads;
  9. at the end of knitting, so that the last beaded row does not lag behind the pattern, knit another row without beads.

The method of knitting with beads on knitting needles

The technique of knitting with needles and beads differs little from crochet techniques. Unless the beads themselves are difficult to string onto yarn. To do this, use a needle and cotton thread. If you are creating a large beaded fabric, it is more convenient to knit in segments. But you can manage to string all the beads at once, if there is not much of it - and you need to do this immediately before starting work.

Ready? Now we start knitting with beads.

Good day! I am glad to present to your attention such a long-awaited master class on knitting with beads in the Russian way without displacing the pattern.

To work you will need:

1. Beads of the required colors (I used Czech)
2. Threads for knitting - I have Iris from YarnArt (20 grams, 138 meters)
3. Crochet hook - thickness of my hook 0.85

My task was to describe the entire process of creating a cover in as much detail as possible, so in this master class I will tell you how:
- calculate the required number of beads in a circle and the number of vertical rows for your phone;
- calculate the number of beads in the first row of the bottom;
- tie the bottom of the cover;
- arrange the upper edge of the cover;
- knit in the Russian way without lifting loops without displacement of the pattern;
- fasten the ends of the thread at the beginning and end of the work.

I will not delve into the theory of knitting with beads and talk about the differences between Russian and English methods, as well as about increments, otherwise the master class will turn out to be completely immense. I will give all the formulas and calculations at the end of the master class.
Well, let's start! I'll tell you a little about threads and a crochet hook. It is very important to find the perfect thread / hook combination for yourself. All this is selected by trial and error, it is with the ideal thread / hook ratio in combination with the density of your knitting that you can count on the perfect result with absolutely even rows / columns. I tried to knit with different crochet hooks on denim threads and on canarias, but the offset was still a little, albeit much less than with the usual Russian method. The ideal combination for me was the yarnart iris thread and the 0.85 crochet hook.

Bottom of the cover, securing the end of the thread

We begin to knit a cover from the bottom. We carry out the increments according to the scheme.

The bottom connected according to this scheme should fit almost any modern phone model, only the length of the first base row will be variable (more on this in the "Calculations" section). The bottom scheme can be adjusted to your needs, for this you need to change the number of rows and increments, achieving the desired shape of the bottom of the cover.
First, we knit a chain of the required number (in my case, 19) air loops with beads.
The result is a chain, on which the lobules of the pigtail are clearly visible. For the slices on one side (highlighted in blue) we will knit the front part of the cover, for the slices of the other side (highlighted in red) - respectively, the back.
To go to the second row, you need to make an air lifting loop. It fits only once. To do this, pull out the loop as shown in photo # 3.

Now, for the top slice of the first braid, you need to knit the first column of the second row. For now, we knit in the usual Russian way.
And according to the scheme we knit the second column in the same loop.
At this stage, I advise you to mark the first loop of the second row with a "marker". Such a "marker" can be a regular paper clip or safety pin. This will help you see where the second row starts and ends. To mark the first loop, it is necessary to hook the "marker" to the upper lobule of the first column of the second row (in photo # 6 it is highlighted in blue, the second column of the second row is highlighted in red).
Next, we knit 17 columns with beads in the usual Russian way.

And, according to the scheme, we knit three columns with beads in the last loop (under the upper lobule).
After that, we unfold the knitting in our hands (the last loop, into which 3 columns have just been knitted, should be on the right). And we continue to knit the second row according to the pattern, but already on the other side of the first base row.
Here I will digress a little from the bottom and tell you how to fix the remaining end of the thread at the beginning of knitting. When we unroll the knitting, the remaining end of the thread should be on the right. I just knit it into the second row. To do this, I direct the end of the thread along the loops of the first base row, insert the hook under the lobule of the first loop on this side, at the same time the hook should be under the remaining end of the thread (in photo # 9, the lobule of the first loop is highlighted in red, the end of the thread is highlighted in blue) and pull the loop ...
Then I knit two loops on the hook. Please note that the end of the thread should pass as if inside the column (in photo # 10, the end of the thread is marked in blue). In the same way, I continue to knit the end of the thread into the second row. If the tip was long, then you can continue to knit it in the third row. When you decide that the thread is already secured enough, you need to pull its tip a little and cut it close to the posts with scissors, however, be extremely careful not to cut the threads of the posts.

And back to the bottom. According to the scheme, we knit two columns in the first loop and three columns in the last one, between them one column with beads is knitted in each loop.
After the end of the second row, the beginning of the bottom from the inside looks like this (in photo # 12 you can see my "marker" - it's a large paper clip). And this is how the bottom looks from the outside. Note that I advise you to select the threads in the color of the main beads, then the whole case will look neater. And I will make a reservation that especially for the master class, I did not knit on yellow threads and tried to knit more freely so that the loops were better visible, so the threads are slightly visible.

Now, in a spiral, we continue to knit the bottom - without any air loops or connecting posts, we knit the third row according to the scheme (there should be 6 increments - three from each edge). If your case should have an odd number of beads in a circle, then in this row you need to make one decrease (I make it in the center of the back side of the case).
Starting from this row, we no longer knit under the lobules of the pigtails, but using the method that I will describe later. After the third row, the bottom is already fully formed, it looks like this (further I do not mark the first column of the row with a "marker"):

Russian way without displacement of the picture

Let's move on to perhaps the most interesting part of the master class. Now I will reveal the secret of knitting in the Russian way without displacing the pattern. In fact, the whole secret lies on the surface - if you knit under the lobules of the pigtails, then each column is located between the two columns of the previous row. And I propose to knit a column directly into the leg of the column of the previous row, then the beads line up clearly one above one. It sounds a little confusing, but now I will describe everything in detail.
As I already said, I start knitting in the leg from the third row, however, for clearer photos, a certain number of rows have already been knitted. Consider the last connected row in photo # 16. We can see that each column consists of a pigtail on top (highlighted in red) and a checkmark leg (highlighted in blue). It is in the center of each such checkmark that we will knit columns, but there are also nuances here, which I will explain in the following photos.
We introduce the hook into the center of the checkmark - there shouldn't be any problems here (photo # 17).

From the outside of the knit, you may notice that the stitch is made up of several strands, and it is very important to insert the crochet under the correct stitches. In photo # 18, note that with the correct position of the hook, the vertical thread highlighted in blue is located farther from the hook in the direction of knitting (in the photo, this thread is to the right of the hook, since the cover is turned with the beaded side towards the camera, in real life this thread will always be to the left of the hook ).
From above, the correct position of the hook looks like this: the hook is under two lobules of the pigtail (highlighted in red) and under one thread of the leg of the column of the previous row (highlighted in blue) - photo # 19.
If the vertical thread on the outside of the cover is closer to the hook in the direction of knitting, then this position of the hook is NOT correct (when knitting with such an arrangement of the hook there will be a strong displacement of the pattern) - photo # 20. The process of knitting the column itself is unchanged - we insert the hook, move the bead, pull the first loop, knit two loops on the hook.

At first, you will probably turn the knitting with beads towards you in front of each column in order to make sure that the hook is inserted correctly, but I want to assure you that after a couple of rows you will knit with this method absolutely without straining, just as easily as when knitting under the lobules of the pigtails.
As a matter of fact, this was the whole secret - to knit not under the lobules of the pigtails, but into the very leg of the column of the previous row.
I did not knit many rows, since this is not a cover, but just a sample. Especially for this master class, I drew a diagram with a geometric pattern, which best shows that there is no displacement of the pattern, while the knitting is quite dense. When knitting with this method, a very nice inner side of the cover is obtained (photo # 23).

Cover edge decoration

I finish my covers with a "step of a crustacean". For those who are proficient in conventional crochet, this tying method should be familiar. But I know that many cable ties own a crochet exclusively within the limits of knitting, so I photographed this part of the work as well.
The main point when tying with a "crustacean step" - we knit from left to right.
I advise you to finish knitting with beads on one of the sides of the cover, then the transition from the beaded part to the knitted thread will be least noticeable in the finished product.
So, we finished knitting rows with beads. Then we turn the work as shown in photo No. 24 (the working thread is to the right of the loop).
We introduce a hook under both lobules of the first pigtail (direction from ourselves), grab the working thread and pull out the loop.
The hook should have two loops. Now crochet the working thread again and knit both loops at once (photo # 26).

Next, we insert a hook under both lobules of the next pigtail and repeat the same steps.
In the same way, we continue to tie the edge to the end of the row. We get a textured binding, which is in perfect harmony with the beaded fabric.

I close the strapping row as follows - I insert the hook under the pigtail of the very first column of this row (photo # 30).
And I finish knitting with a connecting post - I crochet the working thread and knit a single loop on the hook (photo # 31).
I cut the thread from the ball, leaving the tip 15-20 cm long, I crochet the end of the thread through the last loop, tighten the thread.
The result is a small step, which is not conspicuous during the operation of the cover.

Securing the thread at the end of the work

We thread the end of the thread into the needle and pass the needle through the columns of the "crustacean step". In this way, I walk through the entire row.
At the end, pull the end of the thread with your finger a little and carefully cut it close to the posts. Thus, the thread turns out to be securely fastened and neatly hidden.

Calculations

In order to calculate the required size of the cover (the number of beads in a circle and the number of vertical rows), I strongly recommend tying a sample of beads, which will be the main one in the cover. Be sure to knit it with the same thread and crochet that you will use to knit the cover. I usually knit a sample of 40 beads in a circle and about 3 cm high, you do not need to knit the bottom, knit it like a regular thick rope.
When the sample is tied, we measure the density of the knit. To do this, we count how many beads are placed horizontally in 2 cm (I advise you to count at least 2 cm in order to reduce the error). In my sample I got 9 beads per 2 centimeters (let's designate 9 as "horizontal density", 2 cm - "unit of length").
Now we measure the density of the knitting vertically. In my case - 10 rows per unit of length (this is our "vertical density").
After that we measure the phone. First we measure the circumference - for my phone it is 15.8 cm (we will call this figure "the circumference of the phone").
Now we measure the height (I do not include the thickness of the phone in this figure). I got 13.8 cm (this will be the "phone height").

Now let's go directly to the calculations. For convenience, I will give all the data together:

Horizontal density= 9 beads;
Vertical density= 10 rows;
Unit of length= 2 cm;
Phone circumference= 15.8 cm;
Phone height= 13.8 cm.

We calculate the necessary data using the formulas.

We get that the case that fits my phone, using this bead, thread and hook, should be 71 beads in a circle, and the height of the pattern should be 69 rows.
After we have determined the required number of beads in the circle, we need to calculate the length of the first base row, from which the knitting of the bottom of the cover will begin. According to the bottom scheme, it can be seen that 6 beads are added in the second and third rows (we will designate them as "row 2 gains" and "row 3 gains"). The calculation formula will be slightly different for an even and odd number of beads in a circle, so we will introduce two new designations: "even circle" and "odd circle" (equal to an even / odd number of beads in a circle).

So, the data for calculating the length of the first row for my case:

Odd circle= 71 beads;
Increases 2 rows= 6 beads;
Increases 3 rows= 6 beads.

Formula for calculation:

Thus, for my phone in the first row, I need to tie 30 beads.
I also want to say that in my cases I make the bottom plain, I knit it with beads of the main color, so there is a need to calculate how many beads of the main color you need to type on a thread in order to knit all the bottom. It is very easy to calculate, you just need to add the number of beads in each row of the case. For my phone (using the calculations above):
First row= 30 beads
Second row= 30 * 2 + 6 = 66 beads
Third row= (66 + 6) - 1 = 71 beads (I subtract 1, since I knit according to the bottom scheme for an odd number of beads, in which there is one decrease)
Number of beads for the bottom= 30 + 66 + 71 = 167 beads.
This concludes today's master class. Many thanks to everyone who read it to the end! I really hope that I was able to collect as much useful information as possible in one place and clarify for you all the stages of creating a case knitted with beads.

Needlewomen who know how to handle a crochet will surely like such a knitted bracelet with beads. It combines bright beads with soft yarn. The result is an original, bright and very unusual piece of jewelry. If you still do not know how to make such a decoration - study our step-by-step master class with a photo.

Tools and materials Time: 3 hours Difficulty: 4/10

  • beads (large enough with large holes to fit easily on the yarn);
  • yarn (it is better to take thin natural cotton like Iris);
  • hook of a suitable size.

This knitted bracelet with beads can be perfectly combined with sportswear or boho style clothes.

For work, you will need materials similar to those shown in the photo:

Step-by-step master class

So, let's get down to pleasant creativity. When choosing a thread for knitting, remember that it should be monochromatic so as not to overshadow the beads and not distract attention to yourself.

Step 1: string the beads on the thread

The work begins with the fact that the beads are strung onto the yarn (straight from the ball, there is no need to tear off the thread before the product is finished). For convenience, it is best to use a suitable needle. And the more beads you place on the thread, the longer and brighter your bracelet will be.

Step 2: knit a chain

In general, after the beads are strung, you can start knitting directly. We form only two air loops (the beads are still to the side, just move it along the thread closer to the ball), then we insert the hook in both sides of the first loop, catch the free thread, and stretch it.

Two loops remain on the hook. We again form an air loop (only on the very first loop of those that are on the hook), move the first bead closer to the canvas, and stretch the thread, clinging hook after bead, immediately through two loops on the hook. This is the first column.

Next, we again insert the hook under the base of the loops, pull out one loop, form an air loop, move the next bead along the way, and hook the thread behind it. Again we pass the next loop through the two located on the hook.

Step 3: knit half-columns

The result is a dense but thin crochet fabric, thanks to which the bracelet looks solid and beautiful. It remains only to walk with half-columns along one edge of the product, then form several air loops for one part of the fastener, and again walk with half-columns along the other edge of the product.

Step 4: make a loop

Sew on the other side or a bead or button to secure the jewelry to your wrist.

Knitted bracelet with beads is ready. We hope you enjoyed our step-by-step photo master class. You can write reviews about it in the comments.

Combining different types of handicrafts with each other, craftsmen create amazing things. So, having adopted knitting with beads, you can make wallets or a variety of covers, a jacket and even a dress. Moreover, for work, you will need tools familiar to everyone - a hook or knitting needles. We will consider how to do this and learn step by step with the help of the following master classes.

The minimum set for knitting crafts from beads:

  • cotton or synthetic threads;
  • beads;
  • hook;
  • special needle.

And you may also need wire cutters, additional accessories for decoration, scissors and a regular knitting needle.

The most successful combination is considered to be mercerized or classic cotton for crocheting and beads in size 8/0. The work is performed with a tool from 1.65 to 1.75 mm. It is better to pick up beads with a thin needle and a large eye or a special one. But you can also use 6/0 material for finishing and creating volumetric details.

Those who have a lot of patience, good eyesight and experience, undertake work with small beads in sizes 11/0 and 15/0. Suitable for him are synthetic threads for beading and sewing, as well as a hook from 1.3 to 1.6 mm and a thin beading needle.

Novice needlewomen have a natural question: "How much material to collect?" For oversized work, exactly as much is taken as needed. For large items, the set is carried out for a length of 1.2–1.5 m. Then the thread breaks off, and everything is repeated from the beginning.

There are 2 common bead knitting techniques: Russian and English. For a better understanding, a master class on both techniques is presented in the following videos and photo tutorials.

English technique

The process of knitting beads in this way, look at the step-by-step photos:

Knitting with needles and beads

When choosing materials, you must also maintain a balance so that the beads can be easily put on a thread. And already, depending on them, knitting needles are selected. As a general rule, they should be 2 times thicker than the threads. There is also a requirement for the latter: it is advisable to take smooth threads, without knots, and the beads are round and even, without flaws.

It is often difficult to thread the small hole of the beads. To make it easier for yourself, thread any nylon thread into the needle and tie it in a knot, leaving large ends. Then put the thread that you plan to use for knitting into the loop. Twist and string the beads together so that they are already on a thicker thread. It is advisable to dial all at once, so that in the future it is not required to break the thread for new beads during knitting.

Video: A set of beads on a thread

It is preferable to take simple drawings as a basis. Most often, a garter or hosiery is used; in such works, beads act as an adornment. Unlike crocheting, the bead is not knitted into every row, but after one or two, otherwise the product will turn out to be too heavy.

For a good assimilation of the information, watch the proposed video.

Beaded glasses case

The master class proposed below involves crocheting in the English way. But on his example, one can well understand the principle itself and the sequence of all actions. For novice needlewomen, this is important.

For work, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • 35 gr. blue and 10 grams each of golden and orange Czech beads # 10;
  • cotton threads for knitting or sewing;
  • hook;
  • silk fabric for lining;
  • special clasp 7 cm wide.

But it is not necessary to use ready-made pictures. You can do it yourself. First, trace the fastener on paper and then draw a rectangle of the desired length, making small allowances around the edges. On the sides for fastening and at the bottom to add volume, lay bevels. After that, you can make the desired pattern using computer programs to create a pattern for cross stitching or beads.

We put on the thread the required number of beads. The set is carried out from top to bottom, that is, in reverse order. And also, in order not to get confused, type not all at once, but half. And before starting knitting, it is worth checking the selected beads for compliance with the pattern.

Operating procedure

Proceeds directly to the main actions. The first row, on which the entire cover will be based, does not fit in a circle. For him, 24 air loops with beads are recruited, but the first one will be without it. It is very important. All subsequent rows are knitted in a circle according to the pattern. Note that the first five are made with each side widened. To do this, at the end of the row, 2 columns are added on each side. Then, according to the scheme, a circular fabric is knitted.

The principle of how it is done, look at the video at the end of the article.

Then, according to the scheme, 2 separate parts are created. For them, you need to take turns to type beads also from top to bottom and from right to left, that is, in the opposite direction, as knitting is performed. Following the pattern, first crochet one half, and then the other. To secure the lining and fastener, you need to tie 2 more rows on each side without beads.

We make the lining. It will be slightly narrower than the cover itself. It is simply sewn on a typewriter or by hand. Do not sew up the bottom so that you can turn it out. This is necessary so that it can be easily hemmed to the cover. Then it just remains to unscrew and seal the hole left. Carefully tuck the lining inward and secure the clasp in any convenient way. On this, the master class came to an end.

Video: Knitting a phone case with beads

Such work with beads as crocheting and knitting will require from the needlewoman not only perseverance and patience, but also the ability to work in several techniques at once. It is time consuming, but the result will surpass all expectations, every master class laid out by experienced needlewomen on the vastness of the worldwide network is a confirmation. With their help, you will probably be able to master new techniques for yourself.

  1. Basic knitting rules

    Beads or beads must be strung on a thread before knitting, distributing it along the knitting thread. In order to prevent the beads from scattering at the end of the thread, it is better to put the ball in a container. For knitting products using beads, it is better to choose strong thin threads and a hook No. 1-1.5.

    First, imagine the arrangement of the beads in a knitted fabric. It can be used in knitting randomly or in a specific order (in the form of an ornament or any pattern). If you want to arrange the beads according to the pattern, be sure to draw a diagram of the bead arrangement on paper, but remember that in this case the beads should be strung in the reverse order.

  2. All types of needlework have their own secrets. In knitting with beads - too. So, when crocheting, beads are best seen in half-crochet, single crochet and air loops; when knitting - against the backdrop of the purl, at the top of the loops.

    Before you get started, imagine (or draw) the location of the beads in a knitted fabric. It can be distributed arbitrarily, regardless of size and color, or in a certain order (in the form of a pattern, ornament, individual drawings).

    In the first case, the knitting process is very simple. Before starting work, string as many beads as possible on the thread. Place the ball in a bowl or other deep container with high edges so that when the ball ends, excess beads do not crumble. Grab the thread between the beads as you knit. Beads strung on a working thread will move along the thread all the time.

    When crocheting a closed cloth in a spiral, the beads will be located at work, on the wrong side. In this case, the rows under the beads form an even background. The same happens when knitting an open fabric with a long crochet (using the Tunisian knitting technique). If you want to knit a straight, even fabric with a regular crochet (that is, you will work in both directions, and not in a circle), then the rows form a wavy background, with transverse convex-concave stripes.

    At the same time, pay attention to the following point: in the row on which you include the beads in the work, you should insert the hook into the threads of the previous row as usual, that is, moving away from you, then the beads will be located on the wrong side; in the next seamy row (the beaded side will now be in front of you), the hook must be inserted into the threads of the previous row with a movement towards you, grabbing the thread with beads in front of the working canvas.

    If you want to arrange the beads in a certain order, then first on a paper in a cage draw a diagram of a set of beads for each detail of the product, be it a napkin, a picture or a vase. In this case, the beads will have to be strung on the thread, strictly adhering to the scheme, starting from the end of the last row. You can simplify the work by collecting beads for only one row and cutting the thread in each row.

  3. Stringing multi-colored beads for a design always requires a lot of attention. Just one missing or extra bead can ruin the entire subsequent drawing.

    When knitting an ornament from repeating elements, it is easy to check the correctness of the set of beads. To do this, type beads for one repeating element of the ornament and move them away. Cast on the beads for the next element and lay the sections of the string with beads on top of each other, connecting the first beads of the dialed elements. If the colors of the remaining beads in both sections of the thread match, then the pattern is typed correctly. If they do not match, look for an error.

    If you find an error in the set of beads during the knitting process, there are two ways out of this situation. If there is a little knitting, do not be too lazy to dissolve the knitting and correct the mistake. And if you really feel sorry for the work done, then break the thread where the mistake was made, and type the beads correctly. Connect the ends of the thread and knit further, hiding the knot among the posts or loops.

    If you use thin cotton or linen threads for work, and there was no suitable needle, you can string the beads directly with thread. To do this, it is necessary to moisten the end of the thread with starch, glue or varnish in order to make stringing beads more convenient and the thread is not tousled. If the beads are strung on a woolen thread, then the tip must be soaped. However, this procedure will have to be repeated after stringing every 10-20 beads.

    For stringing a large number of beads, make a simple device. Take a short, thin thread (10-15 cm), thread it into a beading needle and tie the ends. Pass the end of the thicker working thread into the resulting loop (fig). When stringing beads, simply slide them from thin thread to thick thread.

  4. When knitting with beads, it is very important to feel the density of knitting, feel the shape of the future product, master the technique of expanding and narrowing the fabric, and make sure that during work the beads fit tightly to each other, leaving no gaps in the fabric. This work is similar to embroidery, but the fabric itself is more elastic, so it is easy to pull it over any shape.

    How to knit - crochet or on the needles, depends, first of all, on the purpose of the product, the thickness of the beads and the complexity of the ornament.

    When crocheting, the product holds its shape better and large beads are suitable for it. The surface of products made on knitting needles is less dense. There are often gaps and gaps between the beads, the shape of the product often diffuses, as knitters say, “does not hold”. Knitting with beads on knitting needles justifies itself in the case when you need to insert several beads into the canvas, or knit an openwork product, scattering colored beads over it. In short, if the pattern of the product should be clear, it is better to crochet, and if you want the pattern to resemble a watercolor, that is, to appear "blurred", use knitting needles.

    The shape of the beads is of great importance in the work. For knitting a solid fabric, for example, napkins, take rounded small beads to avoid distortion of the pattern, and for finishing - a larger one.

    Knitting in circular knitting is performed on 4-5 short knitting needles in stockings (following the pattern of mittens, socks, hats), and crocheting is done in a spiral with single crochet. Increases and decreases should be done according to the pattern in strictly defined places in order to avoid displacement of the beads. Moreover, with circular knitting, the work is performed on the wrong side, then the beads will be located on the front side of the product.

    When knitting the fabric directly on the front and back sides, make sure that after each row knitted, the beads remain only on the front side, forming an ornament.

    If the purl row is crocheted, then in order to put the bead in the pattern, you need to move it along the working thread (from the ball) close to the loop on the hook, and then knit a regular column. This is done when crocheting round, for example, vases or napkins. The pattern, knitted in a round on spiral rows, is slightly displaced in a spiral.

    When performing the same front or back row on the knitting needles, the beads according to the pattern simply move along the working thread close to the previous element. And after knitting the loop, the beads "hang" on the broach between the loops.

    For openwork patterns, in order to get a more convex shape, a crochet loop is sometimes made. This technique is used not throughout the entire length of the canvas, but only to highlight its individual sections, otherwise the product will turn out to be heavy, it will stretch, and the holes from the yarns will greatly increase, which is not desirable.

  5. How to determine which beads you have if the label is silent about it or is missing

    As easy as pie! Type 1 cm of beads on a needle and count how many you have collected. Now compare with the table:

  6. Crochet bracelet with beads

    To make these bracelets, we need to remember the skills of crocheting with beads. So, from the materials we will prepare the threads for knitting (bright "Iris"), a hook of a suitable size, and multi-colored beads. The bracelet will be based on ring bracelets. You can easily buy them in any store, as a rule, they are sold in several pieces, and they are all worn together.
    So, to begin with, we string our beads onto a knitting thread. You will need it a little, focus on the girth of the hand and the size of the bracelets of the rings.
    Now we begin to carefully tie our ring with a bracelet, having previously secured a thread with strung beads on it.
    Our bracelets have a bell attached. We do not tie it, but simply skip it, crocheting air loops without beads. Well, then, everything is as before. Each column is knitted with beads.

    We knit like this to the end, then we fix the thread and cut it off, one bracelet is ready. Now we take beads of a different color, string them again, and do the same with another bracelet. The thread remains the same, so it is better to choose sectional dyeing so that each bracelet is unique and bright. And you can take viscose instead of cotton "Iris"
