Our hero was a repeated winner of international competitions and national championship competitions.

Dima’s meeting with his future wife took place in 1996. First, he graduated from an advanced training institute specifically for television and radio employees, and starting in 1997, he began to build his career on TV. At the same time (1997-1999), Olga Bogoslovskaya worked on TV-6 as a sports commentator for the then popular “Television News Service”. Listening to her reports, Dmitry imagined how he himself would find himself in the commentator’s chair.

In 2000, Olga met Dmitry Guberniev. At first they were just friends. Olga and Dima had their own affections at that time. They lived not far from each other, so Olga often drove Dima to work in her car. They came to work at VGRK at the same time. Olya’s first son from a previous marriage, Yegor, turned 12 at the time and was temporarily in the care of his grandmother. The problem was that Dmitry Guberniev’s beloved wife had to fight for his health from the first days of Misha’s birth: when he was only seven days old, the child had to undergo serious surgery due to a congenital Ledd disease. The surgeons performed the operation, and then found another disease - an intracellular bacterium.

This illness did not allow Olga to take her eldest son home. While working, Dmitry addresses his ex-wife as “Misha Guberniev’s mother.” Mikhail will soon turn 17. He plays sports and is thinking about working on TV.

At the moment, Dmitry is dating Elena Putintseva, she is engaged in interior decor and is not as keen on television and sports as her husband.

I bet you didn't know that... Dima said a swear word for the first time in front of his parents and grandparents at the age of 7, when the USSR football team drew 0:0 with the Poles at the World Cup in Spain in 1982 and did not reach the semi-finals. He was then beaten.

– Does a sports commentator’s morning begin with exercise?
– My morning should start no earlier than 12 o’clock. But this is not because I am a couch potato. It’s just that the previous day ends well after midnight. By the time I get home, I’ll eat... I only fall asleep at three in the morning. Therefore, if you get up early, the day will not be successful. My motto is: “He who sleeps and eats well works well.” But now I’m seriously planning to resume swimming lessons. The spine creaks - I don’t like it.
– You just returned from Hungary, where you commentated on the European Aquatics Championships. But the sports framework is clearly too small for you. You host the program “Who Wants to Become Maxim Galkin”, comment on “Eurovision 2010”, appear in a Santa Claus costume at the “New Year’s Light”...
– This is just an opportunity to expand creative horizons. I can be the host of anything. But everyone knows that first and foremost I am a sports commentator. I'm not going to betray my profession.
– You even starred in TV series!
– I actually played them. Most often himself. But this is amateurish. However, looking at many contemporary artists, I think that I would not be the worst “dancer”. I also gained a lot of respect for myself as a singer after hearing the singing of Dmitry Dyuzhev and Oksana Fedorova.
– If you have free time and you find yourself at home alone, what do you do?
– I really like to sit in my mother’s apartment in a chair with a remote control and switch TV channels. I can rest like this for a day, but no more. Then I begin to suffer without work. I also like to walk in the forest. Now I dream of making a program about Skhodnensky Forest on the Russia 2 channel. I would start it like this: “Hello! The “My Planet” program is on the air, and we are at the entrance to the most beautiful place on earth - the Skhodnensky forest. Here is a stump that I once crashed into on a sled. But here are people who didn’t bother to make treatment facilities and are polluting the place where they could swim.”
– Do you have any weaknesses?
– I’m training my willpower when I see a huge vase opposite me with “Chamomile” and “Cornflower” candies. I hardly eat others. And I’m ready to eat 8 of these in a row. Although I understand that this is harmful and a huge burden on the pancreas. Now I can stop after 3-4 pieces.

School strike

– You are an emotional person, judging by the reports. Did your teachers suffer from you as a child?
– I was an eccentric child. But my tricks quickly became known to my mother. She worked in a pharmacy near the school, and all the teachers came to see her after work...When perestroika began, there was a strike at our school. I turned out to be the leader of the strike committee, and we decided to give power to the school council. I walked around with an “Electronics” tape recorder under my arm and interviewed everyone.
“That’s why the hyperactive boy was sent to sports, rowing...
“Before that, there was a ski section, from which I was kicked out in the 4th grade. I missed several training sessions due to illness, and the coach did not look into it. I am grateful to him for this. My mother had already met a rowing coach; I didn’t put much effort into it and took up this sport. Although I was also invited to play football - I stood in the goal. I am very proud that at the age of 14, in one of the games for the Khimki region cup, I saved a penalty. We took second place in that tournament. After the game, a selector from the Moscow Torpedo approached me and invited me to a tryout at the club. But I proudly answered that I was rowing. And if he had agreed, then Igor Akinfeev would not have had a chance to still stand in the goal of the Russian national football team.

Loving an athlete

– Often, the more successful a person becomes, the more enemies he has. How are you?
– I am a very peaceful person. Whenever I hit my opponent in the face, I immediately wanted to make peace. But recently I began to notice that outright ill-wishers appear, whom I previously considered close people. You let a person into your soul, and then you are disappointed. It is better to love athletes from a distance.
- Like this?
– Without love you cannot be a good commentator. That's funny. You will sit in the studio like a stale cracker. But many athletes are selfish. You need to keep your distance from them. I had unpleasant moments on this basis.
– And why were you offended?
– For example, when Zhenya Ustyugov arrived “disassembled” after the Olympic Games, and I said on air that it was not the place for representatives of local authorities to endlessly tug at an athlete. Many people misunderstood this at the time. I knew that Zhenya was doing the wrong thing. He told me: “Dima, why do this? People thought I was drinking heavily." Although the matter there was completely different. We talked to Zhenya and found out everything. And there are no more problems.
– Which of the women you know could commentate on football?
– Tina Kandelaki and I hosted Valery Gazzaev’s birthday party. Before I had time to open my mouth, she already began to speak herself. And everything is to the point. She even found out that Dynamo Kiev won against Krivbass with a score of 2:1 three days ago. Even I didn't know this. Tina is an absolutely ready football commentator.

Ideal woman

– With your height, it’s easy to meet girls...
– I’m lucky – I have a girlfriend, Lena. She was an unattainable star for me when we were in school. Then we met by chance. On the train - I was on my way to buy a car from my mother. I see Lena standing on the platform. I went. She was reading a Russian-German dictionary. I thought that he was waiting for some guy. But my first love made me happy: “There won’t be a man!” She has nothing to do with sports, and I like that. Lena works as a designer, so my apartment, where renovations are being completed, takes on the outlines of a decent home. Lena is close to my ideal woman. She cooks deliciously. Even my mother is a serious competitor, which is very difficult to do. He doesn’t try to change me and accepts me as I am. A woman must feel a man.
-Your son from your first marriage, Misha, is still growing up?
– Yes, and I’m proud of him. He will soon be 8 years old. I don't get to see him often. He lives with my first wife. But I take an active part in his upbringing. And the child, unlike me, has absolute pitch. Misha takes piano classes. At the same time, he is learning to play the guitar and chess.
– Are you going to make an athlete out of him?
- Don't know. He loved hockey. But he doesn’t have enough mass for hockey: he’s tall and thin.
– On the “Girls” program you made a sensational statement...
- Why am I going to get married? Yes! Someday this has to happen... I spoke about marriage quite consciously. A single person is simply obliged to get married sooner or later. It's not normal to be alone. Therefore, I urge all unmarried people to go to the registry office! This should be our men's motto!

Blitz survey

- If it’s the sea, then...
- Warm.
- If music, then...
- Heavy.
– If it’s a cartoon character, then...
– The wolf from “Well, wait a minute!”
- If it’s a weapon, then...
- Biathlete's rifle.
- If it’s color, then...
- Yellow. Leader's jersey color.

Guberniev Dmitry Viktorovich (10/6/1974) is one of the most popular sports commentators in Russia. Mostly specializes in winter sports. Winner of two TEFI awards - in 2007 and 2015.

“Yes, a journalist must be impartial. But a sports commentator is another matter. I don’t understand how you can not root for your own people while working. It’s not even interesting”

Childhood

Dmitry Guberniev was born in the small village of Drezna near Moscow. This happened on October 6, 1974. His parents had nothing to do with sports. His father worked as a glassmaker, and his mother as a pharmacist.

But the boy became interested in sports from early childhood. Dmitry's favorite pastimes in the summer were rowing and swimming. And in winter he spent all his free time on the ski slopes. And in all these disciplines the young man achieved noticeable success. For example, by the age of 18 he was able to become a master of sports in rowing. But the hope for a further sports career was dashed by an offensive and serious injury.

True, Guberniev did not completely leave the sport. He entered the Russian Academy of Physical Education at the coaching department and graduated with success. But he never became a coach. His new dream was to work as a television commentator, and he submitted documents to the Institute for Advanced Studies of Television and Radio Workers.

Working on television

Dmitry Guberniev's television career began in 1997. He came to the casting of sports presenters on the TVC channel and successfully passed the selection. He worked on this TV channel for 3 years, and then moved to Eurosport. There Guberniev commented on football matches. He started with the Russian Championship, and after that they began to trust him in international competitions.

After some time, he was lured to Russia-1, and it was here that Dmitry’s talent was fully revealed. Gradually moving away from commentating on football, he switched to other sports - hockey, tennis, freestyle, acrobatics and even sumo. But most of all he liked winter sports, especially biathlon. And in this discipline he is today the most popular and authoritative Russian commentator.

Guberniev was noted for his work not only on sports projects. He commentated on several Eurovision contests, hosted the shows “Good Morning, Russia” and “Star Ice”.

Scandals

Dmitry Guberniev’s career did not always go smoothly. In 2011, he found himself at the center of a very unpleasant scandal. During a break in the football match "Spartak" - CSKA in the studio, the microphone was not turned off, and very impartial statements were broadcast that Dmitry directed at goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malafeev.

Guberniev discussed with his colleague both Malafeev’s sporting achievements and the tragic episode of the death of his wife. Moreover, the commentator did not mince words. When it became known that millions of fans had heard all this, Guberniev first tried to justify himself by saying that he was talking about another person altogether. But later he was forced to admit he was wrong and apologized.

"I'm really sorry. What was intended only for my colleague was distributed throughout the country. Of course, it’s bad that all this was aired.”

The management of St. Petersburg Zenit, for which Vyacheslav Malafeev played, sent an official complaint to the RFU and the Rossiya-1 TV channel. And the goalkeeper himself filed a lawsuit. They even demanded that the commentator be suspended from work. But it all ended with a court decision to pay a fine of 75 thousand rubles and make an official apology.

There was another scandal in Guberniev’s career. At the opening of the 2014 Olympics, he mixed up the national teams of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Official Tashkent was extremely dissatisfied with this and demanded an apology. What Dmitry did the next day live.

Personal life

Dmitry Guberniev does not like to talk about his personal life. For a long time he was married to the famous athlete Olga Bogoslovskaya, world champion in athletics. In 2002, the couple had a son, Mikhail. But soon the couple broke up. The boy stayed with his mother, and Dmitry provides all possible assistance in his upbringing. Interestingly, Bogoslovskaya also works as a commentator. But it only serves athletics competitions.

Currently, almost nothing is known about Guberniev’s personal life. According to the media, he has a certain companion named Elena. They say they have known each other since childhood and seem to have studied at the same school. It is known that this woman has nothing to do with sports, but is engaged in interior design. The rest of the couple's relationship remains a mystery.

Today, unfortunately, the marriage of Dmitry and Olga is already a thing of the past, but this woman played a significant role in the life of the famous commentator, so we could not help but include her name in a number of StarWives personalities.

Dmitry Guberniev's wife and her career path

The ex-wife of Dmitry Guberniev is a master of sports, former world champion in athletics and famous runner Olga Bogoslovskaya in the Soviet Union.

The future athlete was born on May 20, 1964, and since childhood she showed considerable athletic abilities. Having received her education at the Moscow Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, Bogoslovskaya did not work for a day in her specialty, devoting herself entirely to sports, and the results were not long in coming.

In 1992, the girl became a silver medalist at the Summer Olympic Games in the 4x100 m relay. In the same type of relay, the very next year Olga received the title of world running champion.

At the end of her brilliant career as a runner, Olga Bogoslovskaya - unexpectedly even for herself - finds a new working berth on television, where she is invited as a commentator on competitions related to various types of athletics. It must be said that the former athlete categorically rejects any proposals related to commentating on any other sports - more than anything else, Lady Impeccability is afraid of seeming unprofessional.

When asked how she manages to conduct her twelve-hour comments without getting lost or making mistakes, and instilling constant trust and interest in her viewer, Olga invariably answers that she simply tries not to think about the fact that her broadcast has a multimillion-dollar audience, and comments as if for herself - as if she - like millions of Russians - is sitting at home on the sofa in front of the TV and aloud experiencing the events taking place on its screen.

Among the striking features of the “trademark” style of commentator Olga Bogoslovskaya, her loyal fans note experience and professionalism - after all, she knows all the “ins and outs” of athletics competitions first-hand, a willingness to always support athletes, an optimistic attitude and positive spirit, as well as a pleasant and memorable voice.

Why is Olga Bogoslovskaya no longer the wife of Dmitry Guberniev?

Perhaps only the ex-spouses themselves know the exact answer to such a personal question. But, according to the general opinion prevailing in television circles, Olga - an excellent athlete and an excellent talented commentator - is not at all a “family” woman in the traditional sense of the word.

Someone will object: but Guberniev is a very passionate person about his profession, and is by no means a homebody, so why didn’t Olga become the woman of his life? The secret is simple - a true conqueror always desperately wants a devoted, caring wife waiting for him at home - and they could become like that.
