A summer dress for a girl is made using a knitting pattern. The skirt has pleats decorated with an openwork pattern. Before starting work, we recommend making a life-size pattern.

Size: 0-12 months
Materials: 200 g of Comfort Stretch yarn (90% premium micro acrylic, 10% polyester, 50 g/193 m), knitting needles 2.5-3 mm.

Knitting pattern and description for children up to one year old:

Back: cast on 150 stitches.
Knit 2 rows in a garter pattern.
Knit according to the pattern.

Knit 2 stitches together along the row = 75 stitches.
Knit with rib knit 2, purl 2. – 2 cm.

At the same time, at a height of 32 cm, make a cutout on the back: close the central loop of the work, finish the sides separately = 33 loops for each side, knit 3 loops on each side of the cutout with a garter pattern.
At a height of 39 cm, bind off 5 loops on each side of the neck in every second row - 3 times.
At a height of 41 cm, bind off the last 18 shoulder loops in 3 steps of 6 loops.

Before: knit as a back without making a neckline up to a height of 36 cm.
Neck: Bind off center 21 stitches for neck.
Then close on each side of the neck in every second row 3 loops - 1 time, 1 loop - 2 times.
Close the shoulders at the same height as the backrest.

Sleeve: cast on 48 stitches.
Knit with a scarf pattern – 1 cm.
Knit in stockinette stitch, add 1 stitch on each side in every 2nd row – 2 times = 52 stitches.
At a height of 4 cm, close on each side in every second row 2 loops - 1 time, 1 loop - 20 times.
At a height of 12 cm, close the loops.
Knit the second sleeve.

Neck strap: Cast on 90 stitches around neckline.
Knit with a scarf pattern – 2 cm.
Close the loops.

Tie a cord of 3 double stitches 80 cm long, sew it along the neckline and tie it into a bow on the back neckline.

Then I knitted the collar with garter stitch for 4 rounds. I closed the loops on the wrong side. circle as purl.

Method 3 (my amendments to the design, how I knitted this dress myself for the second time):

Everything is knitted as in Method 1 until we begin to reduce the stitches on the skirt by half (i.e. Next round: *2 stitches together as knit.* until the end of the round (88, 92, 96 loops)).

After that, I put the skirt aside and started knitting the body with raglan from top to bottom.
Cast on 70 (74, 74) stitches
Place markers after 24 (26), 11, 24 (26), 11 loops..
Knit 4 rounds in garter stitch, and then start adding raglan stitches.
Add loops until the number of loops on the skirt is equal (front + back).
Throw the sleeve loops onto the auxiliary thread.
If you get 1-2 extra loops, that's okay. This can be easily compensated for when connecting the torso to the skirt.
Bind off the stitches on the skirt and body using the third needle.
Knit the skirt and body loop together as you close.
Pick up the sleeve stitches on a circular needle or double needles and knit with a twisted elastic band, decreasing stitches as you go (i.e., reverse order of method 1).
Knit the last 4 rounds in garter stitch, cast off. circle as purl.
